Who's Looking So Grown Up?

PJ is now officially 14 weeks old and looks so grown up compared to when she first came home five weeks ago. Look at those curly locks on her ears - too cute!

Behemoth Brooklyn

w
Behemoth is a biblical creature mentioned in the Book of Job, 40:15-24. The word is most likely a plural form of בהמה (bəhēmāh), meaning beast or large animal. It may be an example of pluralis excellentiae, a Hebrew method of expressing greatness by pluralizing a noun; it thus implies that Behemoth is the largest and most powerful animal ever to exist. Metaphorically, the name has come to be used for any extremely large or powerful entity.

The Wright family dog came home yesterday. Brooklyn is the newest member of the family and looks to be ready to crush P.J. in a wrestle match. Super cute and can't wait to see more pics.

Nash Christmas 2009

Good times for Jessica, who was quite worried she would be short on presents since P.J. came home a few weeks ago. Luckily Santa did not count P.J. against her total, and even supplied a stocking for little PJ with some fancy scented poop bags and a sweater for Lake Arrowhead. Santa ate his cookies and milk, and the reindeer made a mess on the porch and left some of Santa's magic snow for us to find in the morning. Santa left a hot pink display of goodies, and Jess enjoyed separating the presents while we waited for Adrian to get up. Big winners on the day - the iPod got very high marks, and the Polly Roller Coaster was the next favorite.

The Heffs Christmas 2009

Tons of family, tons of presents, many snacks. Charlie's new drumset was sweet, the girls had some cool beads and I quite liked the floor mirror for some interesting pics. More stuff than I can even begin to name. But the best part of the day (almost) was the amazingly clear freeways. Los Angeles would truly be Nirvana if we could travel like this on a day-to-day basis.

PJ Enjoys Christmas 2009

After our own present-opening frenzy, off we all went to the Heffernan's for more presents. PJ loved having play-time with Brooklyn despite the fact that all the balls were too big for her to grab. We all came home and slept for about two hours - OK, well maybe PJ and Carroll slept for about 2 hours.

Jerri's Graduation

c

How exciting was the graduation ceremony! Huge congrats to Jerri for two very long years of very hard work. Quite amazing all the really scary, gross and graphic things Jerri has been doing at school, but now she can get paid for it! Jerri was gorgeous in her cap and gown and new hair.

How Proud Am I

My sister Jerri graduates from nursing school this week. She's the one in the photo NOT smiling. Way to go Jerri, it's been a long two years. I can't believe how unbelievably hard nursing school was. She is awesome.

Under No Circumstances . . . !

Under no circumstances will P.J. be allowed on the couch, or on the beds. And neither of these things will especially happen when we can sneak her when Adrian is not home. That would just be wrong, and against the rules, and will not be happening! EVER! But if it did happen, by some bizarre accident, P.J. would be a cute-factor of ten. Ten Plus. In fact, this pup goes to eleven! (And isn't it obvious that P.J. could not be comfortable in either location!)

All PJ All The Time for Thanksgiving 2009

A great Thanksgiving holiday with PJ and family. Little P loving the backyard and the cute-factor is a high 10+ at all times. PJ has her special blue-blanket for snuggles and was a champ visiting Jerri and Bren's for a play-date with the kids. PJ has also gone for many car rides, but is not allowed out for walks until all the shots are completed in a few more weeks. I've decided PJ's nickname should be Little Questionne as the white blaze on her forehead looks like a question mark with her nose as the dot.

Long Day and PJ Goes to Bed

An exhausted PJ has no more energy to play. Night Night all. That is her snuggle-buddy "Stuffy" next to her in bed.

The World Now Revolves Around PJ

So we were up and out at 8:30am to pick up PJ Nash, our newest member of the family. QUITE a day was had by all. First we stopped at Jerri and Bren's for a short visit to introduce PJ to Lucy and Charlie. Then home to show PJ around the back part of the house, where she will be hanging until the potty training is complete. We had much fun in the backyard, where PJ decided the hose nozzle was quite scary and needed to be attacked. Then tons of time running around exploring the yard. Several good naps, lunch and dinner and two textbook wees outside. (And one less than textbook wee inside. It won't be the last I'm sure).

New Moon Opening Night

Yet another successful girls night out to see New Moon at the Arclight in Hollywood. In the end there were 13 of us, up from I believe 8 for Twilight. Jacob and Edward action figures, dinner, drinks, more drinks, New Moon Trivia - the fun never ended. Congrats to Sharon, Jerri and Mary Beth as our top three trivia winner. I've already called the video release party at the Nash house. Dates to be announced soon.

Love the Pasadena Arboretum

One quick shot from a recent visit to the Arboretum with Jerri, Lucy and Charlie.

Jessica Pollock

Just putting the finishing touches on Jessica's room and the final piece of artwork is now complete. Using the mad-skills she learned at LACMA art camp, Jessica produced a very cool piece of artwork for her room using the accent colors. A large mess, but a great painting was the result.

PJ HAS BEEN FOUND!

After much research and many phone calls, we think we've found PJ - our new Cavalier King Charles puppy. We met PJ and her litter mates, and mom and dad today in Arcadia. We are IN LURVE with her already and we can bring her home at Thanksgiving. I suspect PJ will be starring on the blog once she arrives.
