Jessica Paints Ceramics at the Party

Jessica and eight friends went to a local ceramic studio to paint ceramics for her 6th birthday. We were all very lucky that her Aunt Jerri, Uncle Bren and cousin Lucy were able to join us. As an added bonus we had Aunt Sofia, Uncle Nigel and cousins Nick and Dylan out from New York! Here is Jessica with Sydney, and a great shot of Goose playing peek a boo. Also check out the handsome Wright men and our good friend Addie from the pool.

Octopus Camouflage!

Our most recent school project - a Diorama showing how animals can use camouflage to protect themselves in nature. In the bottom right corner is an orange octopus hiding in our fabulous orange pipe cleaner sea anemone. Big props to Dylan Wright for his awesome and creative Treasure Chest. This month we have a science project due on static electricity.

Jessica Hits The Slopes For The First Time

It was a big day for Jessica, who wasn't sure if it was more fun to sled the slopes, or watch the Fox boys sled the slopes. More witty commentary will be added when it's not so damn late on a school night and I still have to get school uniforms in the wash!! Enjoy.

Lucy Takes Her First Bike Ride

Jessica has kindly volunteered to let Lucy have her first bike since we have upgraded to a larger model.

Christmas Morning

Goose enjoys the paper more than the presents. And Jessica enjoys playing big sister.

Jessica and Her Posse

Preparing for the big show.

Jessica's First Crush

Or I guess I should say, this is the first boy to have a crush on Jessica. Whilst the girls were all having their photos taken together, Sacha bravely asked me if I would 'make' Jessica take a picture with him. After several eye-rolls, Jessica agreed and Sacha managed to scoot as close as Jessica would let him. Jessica ran off as soon as the shutter closed.

A Star is Born!

The Big Page School Holiday Show

Ever PC, Jessica's school has their annual holiday show over at the Beverly Hills High School.

Jessica Scores Big On Her Butterfly Report

Jessica did a big butterfly report and we scored 50 out of 50. We had a cool cover with artwork with googlie eyes and sparkle antenna. Jessica colored the life cycle of a caterpillar and then did a report on her two pet caterpillars. We topped the report off with pictures of one caterpillar and one that had already made a cocoon. Now her second caterpillar has made a brown cocoon on the bottom of the bug jar. We are waiting for both to hatch and become beautiful butterflies.

A bit of baseball at the park

Although the game of ball quickly changes into a game of chasing down the balls and goofing off.

A Trip to Zion Park in Utah

Hoping to find a new spectacular tourney location, the family headed off to St. George, Utah to check out resorts and fields. Luckily we had an extra day to do some hiking at Zion.

Too Much Halloween Fun!

We're Back!

OK, we admit we had a bit of a break in keeping up with the blog, so we will now work backwards and get up-to-date. First up is Halloween. Here we have Jessica and Lucy at the Pumpkin Patch in swanky Beverly Hills. The patch is all about photo ops and the pumpkin 'experience' - and all comers pay through the nose for the privilege. Worth every cent though for the pony rides and face painting.

Jessica and Goose Party On During the Move

Jessica wants to know how soon Jerri and Bren will get a swing that is big enough for her.

Who's All Grown Up?!

Our little hummingbird baby will be leaving soon. Recently seen perching on the edge of the nest giving her wings some practice, our bird has been named Jessaphina. We hope a new hummingbird feeder will help to keep her close to home. Sadly Jessica is not taking the growth of Jessaphina well, and we expect quite a few tears on the day we come home and the nest is empty.
