Another successful Halloween done and we created a fantastic graveyard on the front lawn. Ten carved pumpkins, headstones, cobwebs and a fog machine made for an impressive display. Ideas for next year already in the works. Even PJ had her own costume.

It Only Took 12 Years - and Then Some!

But we finally got our bathroom(s) underway for a much needed update. Spare bathroom first - sweet and simple, then we tackle the main bathroom. Update early November: 12 Years and Counting as we can't quite seem to wrap up this remodel. A few flooring issues from water leaks, new framing around the back door to make the new door work., new cabinetry, new wiring, endless tile that is just not quite right . . . but we are getting close. A few new pics added November 8th.

Happy Birthday PJ!!

A small celebration for PJ's 1-year birthday. Jess and Adrian got a special biscuit for PJ at a crazy dog bakery. Who knew? PJ was quite pleased with her evening out. Thanks Paul and Char for sharing our special night.

The Kids Loved the Boat Trip

According to Jess, getting to drive the boat, and catching the crayfish, were two of the best things about the trip to Arrowhead. NO mention of spending quality time with mom and dad . . .

Pier Jumping Was a Big Hit

Evening at the Beach

A fun late evening family walk at the beach. Who knew PJ would love it so much. Jess snuck her on the beach a few times for a quick run and luckily we didn't get busted by the beach police. Loving our so-far cool Los Angeles summer, but expecting late July/August to get horribly hot.

So it has been a busy summer already, and we just started. Jess brought home Martha the hamster from the school science lab, and PJ is VERY interested to meet her. PJ also enjoyed the lobster dinner we made for J's graduation. Sacha the cat has finally relaxed around PJ and treats her as an annoying little sister. PJ mostly rules the roost and is adored by one and all. Her Cavalier coat is really coming in uber-fluffy and she gets tons of compliments when we are out and about.
